Achievements in the Science and Education

Over the past 40 years, the research workers of our institute have defended 146 dissertations. Our scientists have given and continue to give lectures in the Latvian institutes of higher education (University of Latvia, Riga Technical University, etc.). Our institute has received 278 inventor's certificates and patents.

The achievements of research workers of IPM have been marked with the USSR State Prize (1985), the Prize of Council of Ministers of USSR (1983), five LSSR State Prizes (1965-twice, 1972, 1976, 1982), five F. Tsander prizes of LAS (1972, 1976, 1980, 1998, 2002), the G. V. Vinogradov prize of the Russian Society of Rheology (1998), 40 prizes of LAS, and other awards.
